THE PICKLETINI
DIFFICULTY
Easy
WHAT'S IN IT
2 oz American Mustard Gin
0.5 oz Dry Vermouth
0.5 oz pickle brine
HOW IT'S MADE
- Add all the ingredients to a mixing glass with ice.
- Stir until well chilled.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
WHAT IT'S LIKE
All that's good about a classic Martini - with a couple of added benefits - namely any idiot can make it in minutes and unlike the fast foods that also depend for flavour on pickles, it's low-carb (as if you actually care).
JAMES' TASTING NOTES
A Martini that has the salty-savory sting of olive brine...but more of it. To be enjoyed with any sort of fast food, preferably served (as Jay Leno insists) by someone in a paper hat.

Asian Parsnip
I had an idea for a gin that is very British, using parsnip - which reminds me of dampness - combined with the spicy sparkle of the Asian spices found in Indian food. So we created the unimaginatively named Asian Parsnip - celebrating both the homely flavour of that most English of root vegetables and the gastric stimulus of spices from India.
